My father and all of his ancestors were 100% German, leaving war torn Germany in the 1700's, and found a new life along the Volga River in Russia, where they lived for about 150 years, before coming to America. The English maid, Gertrude Lee Butler, has ancestors who arrived either on the Mayflower, or before it arrived on the Massachusetts shore. This blog is dedicated to them and their many descendants, whom I hope will use it freely!
